AI technology will impact Vietnam’s digital economic growth in the future

In particular, with GenAI (Generative AI), the world is at a turning point in the digital era. GenAI democratizes the use of AI, empowering every workforce, enabling innovation and new business opportunities for the public and private sectors. It can be said that GenAI is a “game changer” that has a great impact on the economy and society, boosting productivity and output by over 18%.
The competitiveness of each country’s digital economy depends on per capita computing power and vice versa, computing power infrastructure has also become the new engine of each digital economy. It is predicted that AI can increase computing power 500 times. Therefore, more than 50 countries have included the goal of promoting cooperation and innovation, developing policies and standards on AI into their national digital transformation strategies.
In Vietnam, there are currently no specific numbers, but for China, it is estimated that AI technology will affect about 22% of the country’s GDP and 15-20% of the GDP of countries in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). ). This is a large number that AI technology can impact on the economy.
